Lisa’s Ambulance Wish was to visit Adelaide Zoo with her family

On the 10th April 2025 Lisa’s Ambulance Wish was fulfilled when she visited Adelaide Zoo with her family.  Ambulance Wish South Australia, in partnership with Southern Adelaide Palliative Services, made a special wish come true, creating memories that last forever for Lisa and her loved ones.

Lisa travelled to Adelaide Zoo in the Wish Ambulance where she met her family. Together they visited the pandas, reptiles, meerkats, giraffes and many more animals. They picnicked together on the lawn, ate burgers and chips, relaxed and played on the playground.

Lisa has always loved giraffes, and this wish experience brought back lovely memories of her and David (spouse) feeding the giraffes at Monarto Safari Park.

An emotional Lisa loved every minute of her wish: “so good to have everyone here.”

Thank you to our wonderful Ambulance Wish Team Melissa, Abbey, Alicia, Kasey, Jo, Ingrid and Will for fulfilling this special wish and our photographer, creating memories that last forever, (many are volunteers and some are photographed below).

Lisa’s Ambulance Wish was fulfilled in collaboration with Palliative Care South Australia, St John Ambulance SA, Flinders University, Southern Adelaide Palliative Services and Adelaide Zoo.
