Staff Update: Welcoming New Leadership for Ambulance Wish SA

Palliative Care South Australia would like to share an important update regarding the Ambulance Wish SA program.

Alicia, our Project Coordinator for Ambulance Wish SA, will be moving on from her role. Since joining us shortly after the program launched, Alicia has played a pivotal role in shaping and growing the program into what it is today — proudly delivering 42 Wishes for South Australians living with a life-limiting condition. We are delighted that Alicia will continue her involvement as a volunteer, supporting future Wishes. Her final day in the staff role will be 2 April.

We are also pleased to announce that Kasey will be stepping into the Ambulance Wish SA Project Coordinator position. Kasey has been part of the PCSA team since 2022, contributing across Administration, Accounts, and other operational roles. Prior to joining PCSA, she worked in the health and community care sectors. Kasey was instrumental in the initial development and launch of Ambulance Wish SA and has previously supported the program by backfilling the coordinator role during periods of leave. She will formally commence in the position on 8 April.

We extend our sincere thanks to Alicia for her outstanding contribution and warmly welcome Kasey as she takes on this important role.

Continued Government Support

We are delighted to share that the Health Minister has confirmed ongoing support for Ambulance Wish SA, with $100,000 per year committed for the next four years. To fully deliver the program, PCSA will continue to raise a matched amount annually to meet the overarching costs of operations, training, and Wish delivery.
