Ram’s Ambulance Wish was to visit his home and celebrate his birthday with his family

𝗥𝗮𝗺’𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆!

On 22 April 2026, Ram’s Ambulance Wish was fulfilled when he returned home to celebrate his birthday with his family.  Ambulance Wish South Australia, in collaboration with Southern Adelaide Palliative Service and with support from his loved ones creating special memories that will stay with his family forever.

Ram spent time at home, a place especially close to his heart, having worked closely with a builder to design it for his family. Ram had been hoping to return home for months and was especially excited that his visit co-incided with his birthday celebrations. He was welcomed by his family with a birthday cake, candles, and all his favourite foods. Ram enjoyed time eating, reminiscing, and simply being surrounded by those he loves.

His children were overjoyed to have their dad home, they dressed up in matching shirts with their dad and
wrote a heartfelt note expressing how much they love him, which they suprised him with during the Wish.

Knowing how much Ram used to enjoy his backyard, he joined his family out there – turning on the big backyard sprinkler which made them all

smile. His niece and her husband flew in from interstate to join the Wish, and both sets of neighbours dropped in to wish him a happy birthday.

Reflecting on the day, Ram’s family shared, “This is exactly what he wanted”.
