Mark’s 100km walk and fundraising for Ambulance Wish SA

100km walked. $4,000 raised. Two final wishes made possible.
Congratulations to Mark Hodgson, who walked 100km over the October long weekend and raised $4,000 for Ambulance Wish SA.
Mark set out with a clear goal: to raise enough for two wishes, so that two people in palliative care could share a final special moment with their loved ones. Despite blisters along the way, he reached it, with his daughter Chloe walking parts of the route beside him and his son helping to reach the target.

This is Mark’s second walk for the program. In 2024, he and his daughter walked 154km from Adelaide to Wallaroo and were named Community Fundraiser of the Year at the 2024 Ambulance Wish SA Fundraising Dinner. Mark’s family has experienced first-hand what a wish can mean, and that experience drives him to keep giving back.

Every wish costs around $2,000, and each family receives a memory book of photos to treasure. Ambulance Wish SA relies entirely on community support to make these moments possible.

Thank you, Mark and the Hodgson family.
