Phyllis’ Ambulance Wish was to create Mothers day memories and share stories with loved ones
On the 5th of May 2025, a special Mother’s Day wish came true for Phyllis, thanks to Ambulance Wish South Australia and Eldercare. Surrounded by love and laughter, Phyllis took part in a heartfelt memory-making photo shoot with David— a moment that captured more than just smiles, but a lifetime of stories.
Her son joined Phyllis for her special day, bringing her flowers and a big smile. They smiled and laughed for the Ambulance Wish photographer and videographer and shared stories and memories with our storytelling volunteer. The sun was out, the mood was full of joy, and happiness filled the air. A wonderful day to celebrate a beautiful mother. On Mothers Day the Ambulance Wish SA team delivered them a AWSA Memory Pack: multiple memory books, usb with all the images and a short video for their families. Phyllis’ Ambulance Wish was fulfilled in collaboration with Palliative Care South Australia, St John Ambulance SA, Flinders University and Eldercare.
