Rick’s Ambulance Wish was to create Christmas Memories
Rick’s special Christmas Wish was fulfilled when he spent time with his wife Vivian, creating photographic memories. Thanks to Ambulance Wish South Australia and Eldercare, Rick took part in a heartfelt photo shoot with Vivian, surrounded by family photographs and mementoes that reflect a lifetime of memories.
Born in Launceston, Rick left Tasmania to travel around Australia, only getting to Adelaide where he met Vivian and stayed. His extensive career then took them to many places overseas and interstate with work that he was deeply passionate about. During the Wish, Vivian described him as a ‘real people-person’ who really loved being around people, whether at work or spending time with family and friends.
A devoted family man, Rick enjoyed babysitting his grandchildren and spending time with his family whenever he could. His room is filled with family photos and collages from earlier days, alongside a treasured photograph from his lifelong dream of watching cricket at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, reflecting his enduring love of the sport.
For Vivian, the occasion was a special way to celebrate the Christmas season with Rick and the life they’ve shared together.
