Walking Adelaide to Wallaroo in 48 hours to raise funds for Ambulance Wish SA

Our heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to Mark and Chloe, who presented us with a $2,345 cheque today, from their Adelaide to Wallaroo fundraising walk. Last weekend they walked an astounding 154Kms in 48 hours to raise money for Ambulance Wish SA, in honour of their Uncle Bruce, who was recently cared for by the Northen Adelaide Palliative Care team.

Chloe lives in Melbourne and returned back to Adelaide to participate in this fundraiser walk with her dad. It was also Chloe’s birthday the day before the walk. There were lots of adventures, conversations on the way and fun father-daughter time. Football was a big part of the conversations throughout the long hours, particularly about their two favourite teams Liverpool Football Club to the Adelaide Crows.

Their walk has also helped raise awareness of our program – with Glam Adelaide, sharing a story about their fundraising adventure as well: https://glamadelaide.com.au/father-daughter-trek-154km-across-sa-to-fundraise-for-wish-granting-charity/

Their generosity will enable us to fulfill another Ambulance Wish and support the ongoing work of the program. You can still support their walk if you haven’t had a chance to donate yet. https://www.gofundme.com/f/155km-walk-in-48-hours-to-raise-money-for-ambulance-sa-wish

On behalf of everyone involved in our Ambulance Wish SA program we thank Chloe and Mark and wish them a well-earned rest.
